NEEEEWWWWSSSS. It’s news time. Hold onto your wampa hole, we’re goin’ in.

We’ll start off small and build to the good stuff. The Bespin Gambit wave of expansions is now available for Imperial Assault in case you missed that. Go get it! It’s great!
There’s a new preview for some Rogue Squadron cards in the upcoming Galactic Ambitions expansion for the Star Wars Card Game.
Ok now the good stuff.
Wave IX of X-Wing has been announced! The wave includes four new ships for the game; the ARC-170, Special Forces TIE, Protectorate Starfighter, and The Shadowcaster.
So we’ve got two ships from Rebels, one from The Force Awakens, and one from Revenge of the Sith. A lot of people thought a prequel ship would never happen, but it’s here. And they’ve implemented it in a neat way; it’s just the Rebellion using old tech. Which seems right in character with the Rebellion.
An interesting and exciting thing to note, is that all of the four pilots in the ARC-170 (there are no generics) come from the new canon novels/comics.
Some pictures of the models have already surfaced from the ongoing UK Games Expo (you can browse left and right through the images):

StarWars.com put up a new list article called 6 Reasons We Still Love The Shadows of the Empire Game. The article should have probably been called “Six Reasons we Loved Shadows of the Empire When it Came Out.”
EA’s new studio Motive has begun production on a new Star Wars game. Also Visceral’s Star Wars game is slated for 2018, and Battlefront 2 for 2017. Looks like 2016 might be the last year in the foreseeable future that doesn’t see a Star Wars game from EA.
WE DID IT. We unlocked a new emote for Battlefront. Yay! I’m only half being sarcastic. Emotes in Battlefront for me have crossed the silliness threshold where they’re so dumb they’re amazing.
And finally here’s a great new video (even if he comes across as a little defensive of the new Battlefront at times) about the history of the Battlefront Franchise.
I never even knew there was a mobile game.
