Good evening. *straightens papers on desktop* Joe reporting from the scene of my desk to bring you a steaming heap of news.
An interview with X-Wing designers; new Armada ships announced; X-Wing Open voting; an Outer Rim trailer; all this and more after the break.
Today’s news is brought to you by Jogun Fruit: One of the only fruits in the galaxy!

StarWars.com ran an article about The Force Awakens playset for Disney Infinity. Which I’ve played; it’s pretty fun. But what the author of the article seems to overlook is that the final boss fight with Kylo Ren is one of the most FRUSTRATING THINGS EVER. Seriously. Worse than the final boss fight in The Force Unleashed II.
Speaking of Disney Infinity, Boba Fett is finally available! Previously a limited exclusive figure or some bullcrap, The Bobster is now available for everyone! Rejoice!
In the ever expanding world of Battlefront, a new trailer is out for the Outer Rim DLC!
Greedo actually looks pretty fun. And Nien Nunb has a laughing emote, which, regardless of what his abilities are, makes him worth playing.
During the Outer Rim livestream event yesterday, they showed off that you can now unlock a Weequay at rank 60, which the level cap has been raised to.
This trailer has given us a lot to discuss, and you bet we’ll talk about it all in the next episode of Battle Chat!
Getting on board the VR train, Playstation said… well just look:

Another VR experience, this one with footage, is being developed by ILMxLabs.
Stepping back a few thousand years, Bioware has announced the next chapter in the Knights of the Fallen Empire story for SWTOR. It will be available on April 7.

Wave 8 of X-Wing is now available! Which expansion are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments, on Facbook, or on Twitter!
FFG interviewed the designers of X-Wing, about the ships in wave 8. They talk about things and stuff.
FFG has opened up voting for which ships the finalists have to include in their squadrons during the System Open finals! They’re also running a twitter contest that could see you taking home some of the exclusive X-Wing Open shield tokens.
New FAQs and Errata have been posted for all of Fantasy Flight’s Star Wars games. Some interesting changes worth looking at, particularly in the X-Wing FAQ.
They’ve also revealed what the prize support for Regionals this year will be. As always there’s some pretty awesome swag that I probably won’t do good enough to get.
Speaking of Organized Play, FFG is doing a big overhaul of their tournament season structure. From now on, all of the Star Wars games will sort of be in their own tournament seasons, and even have a World Championship event just for the Star Wars games!
The Edge of the Empire sourcebook Special Modifications is now available, and to celebrate, there’s a new preview up about how to craft your own weapons and droids.
Also for the RPG, the Nexus of Power sourcebook for Force & Destiny is now available.
FINALLY there is a new announcement for Armada. Wave III has been revealed.
Adding a new ship type, the flotilla, Wave III will consist only of the Rebel Transport and the Gozanti cruiser. Which is a pretty small wave, but I doubt anyone’s wallets will be complaining.
And to kick off your weekend, here is an X-Wing comic from Direman.com.
