Big news for all X-Wing pilots!
The Fantasy Flight Games Organized Play department has just announced they’ll be hosting a brand new event called the X-Wing System Open The System Opens are an international series of X-Wing tournaments with the final tournament culminating at Star Wars Celebration 2016 in London!
Luckily, I will already be in London for Celebration. I will be sure to be on the scene to cover the event and bring you all the juicy news and reports from the finale. But London is a ways off.
Leading up to the final event in the System Open, the preliminary events leading up to Celebration will be happening all over the world in the following countries; France, Poland, England, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Spain, and the United States. The champion of each separate System Open event gets travel, hotel accommodations, and a three-day badge for Star Wars Celebration 2016. That’s huge!
Each system only has one winner, so the final at Celebration will be quite the intense showdown.
The most interesting thing about the finale is that each competitor must demonstrate use of EACH of the game’s three factions in the final event.

The first tournament will be the Hoth Open at Adepticon in Schaumburg, IL, from March 31-April 2.
